Freedom's Song

                    Satori's Freedom's Song Concert
               8:00 p.m.  /  Saturday, March 13, 2010
                              The Old Church

Humans invent many ways to deprive others of their freedoms. We have much to learn about why we do so, and how not to do it. In “Freedom’s Song,” Satori Men’s Chorus presents music of the oppressed, along with songs of hope for a better way.

The concert includes music of Moses Hogan, John Lennon & Paul McCartney, Bob Marley, Greg Gilpin, and Randall Thompson, with words from Thomas Jefferson and Barack Obama. From traditional spirituals to broadway musicals, Satori presents a powerful program of what keeps us in bondage, and what might set us–all of us–free.

Suggested admission: Adults: $12 in advance (call 503-242-4244), $15 at the door; Youth under 18: $10; Children under 3: Free.  No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
